It’s beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is less than two days away, and I am beyond excited. It’s been one of my favorite holidays for as far back as I can remember. Then again, any holiday that involves good food and family is my favorite.

This year we’re having an early supper at my mother-in-laws house, then afterwards Julia and I will be driving 3 hours to my grandparents house. I’ve been on and off the phone with my grandmother refining our plans, discussing recipes, and updating the guest list. I’ve been making, and revising lists, and today I’ve been busy with last minute holiday preparations. Laundry is being done, as I’m picking out and folding outfits to pack in Julia’s overnight bag. Tomorrow I’m headed to my mother-in-laws house to make my famous cranberry sauce and a pecan Kahlua pie. I’ll run a few last minute errands, too. I want to make tomorrow as busy as possible so as not to have the day drag. Then finally, it will be Thursday!

As far as I know I’ll see practically my whole family this weekend. My grandparents, my mom and her boyfriend, my sister, and much of my extended family- uncles, aunts and cousins. Unfortunately my Uncle Jamie and Aunt Deborah won’t be making it due to a recent injury my uncle sustained.

To me, there is nothing more fun than a family gathering. And for some reason, I’m looking forward to this one more than usual. I just can’t wait to see everyone. I’m so thankful for every member of my family.

‘Tis all for now. I will have a complete Turkey  Day rundown sometime this weekend. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
